At \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHolly Place Studios \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ebetween July and August 1975, Rosen oversaw Opa's first recordings using a four track TEAC 3340. The album would become home to some of Opa's hardest hitting funk jams, with moments of songwriting wonderment and soulful pop and rock progressions combining with the jazz-funk fusion Opa would become known for.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMysteriously (for reasons unknown to the band), Opa's debut was shelved and remained so until the mid-1990s. But the \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBack Home\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e recordings \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewere\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e used as demos, gaining Opa a record deal with \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMilestone Records\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e and the subsequent release of two cult-favourite albums: \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eGoldenwings\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e (1976) and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMagic Time\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e (1977).\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOpa would also collaborate with North American titans including bassist \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eRon Carter\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, producer \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCreed Taylor \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eand Brazilian icons \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAirto Moreira\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eFlora Purim\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHermeto Pascoal\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMilton Nascimento\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.
