Whilst \u003cbr\u003e all four members of the band contribute compositions, the album's \u003cbr\u003e main composer is saxophonist, flautist and keyboard player Theo \u003cbr\u003e Travis, who wrote six of the album's thirteen tracks. The newest \u003cbr\u003e member of the group is drummer and composer Asaf Sirkis.\u003cbr\u003eThe album is incredibly broad in its breadth and scope. Tracks \u003cbr\u003e include \"Open Road\" a rocky track which sees the band soaring on \u003cbr\u003e all burners with fiery solos by both Etheridge and Travis; the ballad \u003cbr\u003e \"Disappear\", which starts with ethereal looped flutes and develops \u003cbr\u003e into a beautiful piano led and drum less miniature. \"Turmoil\", penned \u003cbr\u003e by bassist Fred Thelonious Baker, brims with deranged fuzz bass, \u003cbr\u003e manic solos and an almost unhinged clamour. \"Daevid's Special \u003cbr\u003e Cuppa\" sees a cameo by founder member Daevid Allen (his guitar \u003cbr\u003e part being recorded years earlier, and the track built around it).\u003cbr\u003eOn 'Thirteen' Soft Machine has never sounded more adventurous\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eA1.
