"I am proud to present this recording to you, my audience. Many of you have asked me for a new CD, and you have waited patiently for this CD! The music on this recording, which I played at the Royal Albert Hall (I've affectionately dubbed this huge edifice an 'Aircraft Hangar') in 1992 represents many of the pieces I have written and played over a thiry-year period. "Many of you know that my life is now affected by my struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a condition which has taken away the great joy of my life--my ability to play the piano. It is a great comfort to present this CD, and to put forth on a recording the lyrical quality and sprightliness of touch that I love but can no longer express at the piano."

About the Artist
Dudley Moore is one of the most beloved and versatile artists of our time. Actor, comedian, pianist, composer, conductor, and vocalist, Moore is renowned for his work in all these areas. Best known to the public for his leading roles in smash hits such as "Arthur," "10," "Foul Play," "Unfaithfully Yours," and many others, he is internationally loved by his audience.
Before starting his acting career, Moore's first love was music. A highly-trained classical musician, he studied violin and organ at the Guildhall School of Music in London and attended Magdalen College at Oxford University as a scholarship student. His acclaimed musical performances and recordings include classical, jazz and popular styles.
Moore first came to the United States in 1962 with the innovative revue "Beyond the Fringe," which was a hit on Broadway. The satire featured Moore with Peter Cook, Jonathan Miller and Alan Bennet. In 1981, he performed "A Salute to George Gershwin" with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl, and in 1983 resumed a classical career that took him around the globe as piano soloist with major orchestras.
Since announcing his battle with the degenerative neurological condition, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), in November of 1999, Moore has devoted himself to raising money for two charitable causes--the Dudley Moore Research Fund for PSP and Music For All Seasons, Inc., and the proceeds from this new CD will benefit both organizations.
