Snoh.
The holidays were supposed to be simple this year:
work, parenting, and maybe a glass of wine or two by the fireplace.
But nothing about my life ever stays simple.
Especially not when he walks into my office with that smug grin,
and a plan that sounds just as ridiculous as he is most days.
Pretend to be his girlfriend to land a client?
In what world does that make sense?
Still, between the twinkling city lights, late-night strategy sessions,
and way too many fake kisses that feel a little too real...
I start to wonder if I’ve made a huge mistake,
or stumbled into something worth believing in.
Because somewhere between business meetings and
holiday magic, pretending starts to feel a lot like falling.
