Beans, the Bassett Hound, lives on Barking Mad Farm with his dog family and his human family. One day, he hears Mommy say, "Easter is coming soon."
Soon isn't soon enough for Beans.
Beans trots from animal to animal, barn to field, hunting for Easter eggs that just are not there. The animals he meets are not happy, and there are no eggs in sight. Beans has to hear the one word he doesn't want to hear: WAIT.
When Easter finally comes, Beans has to practice waiting all over again while his family goes to church. When the egg hunt begins, Beans discovers that the animals are happy and that each space holds a hidden surprise.
