Regular price $22.99
The CSX Railroad that we love was made up of several different companies whose locomotives were in some instances decades old. Some of these locomotives were built in the 1950’s. Others were built in the 1960’s, when locomotive designs from EMD and GE alike would become standard designs for the next two decades before the advent of the Wide Cab locomotives we see today.
This book contains several paint schemes some of these units wore, from the time they rolled out of the Builder’s shops, through to the early days when CSX began its successful run as one of America’s great railroads. There were mergers and then other mergers before the railroad became what it is today. Roster Information is given for each type of locomotive and is complete as I can make it. Each locomotive type is displayed as these locomotives changed ownership up until the mid 1980’s There are also a few surprises thrown in I thought to be interesting...
