On Shavuot -Tabernacle night in 1979 / תש"ם, when I was a Senior in College, I was learning Torah with several freshmen, public high school students. We started from the beginning of the Torah and when we reached the end of Genesis Chapter 6, Gail K. asked a question that would forever change my life.
She simply asked: How could these Nephilim- Fallen Angels in Genesis Chapter 6:4 be alive as was reported by the spies later in the book of Numbers 13:33, if everyone except for the family of Noah were killed in the great flood?
I had no answer and put this question in the back of my mind for future research.
It was not until 1983 / תשמ"ג after I got married that I began to research this amazing world of the Nephilim - Fallen Angels and their descendants. It began with this one question, which begat an answer, which begot another question and so on and so on.
