Flaco Jimenez y Tomas Ortiz de los Alegres de Tera

Few artists in conjunto and Tejano music have received the level of critical acclaim Flaco Jimenéz has enjoyed over the course of a career that has spanned six decades, and it's certain that no one has taken the accordion-fueled Tex-Mex sound to a larger audience. Tomás Ortiz of Los Allegres de Terán was one of the first superstars of the Mexican regional music today known universally as Musica Norteña. In 2005, two of the greatest names in Norteño music joined forces to record a CD. Released on Flaco's own label, the limited release quickly sold out and has been unavailable until now.
