Gia The Golfer
Gia never expected to find magic in the attic.
When she discovers her grandfather’s old golf clubs while cleaning with her mother, Gia feels inspired to try something new. With every swing, she learns about patience, confidence, and believing in herself. But just as her first big tournament approaches, the clubs mysteriously disappear.
Guided by love, memories, and determination, Gia steps onto the course anyway and discovers that the true magic was never in the clubs at all. It was inside her all along.
Gia the Golfer is a full-color children’s picture book for ages 6–10 and the first title in a growing series that introduces young readers to the game of golf and the life lessons that surround it. Told in short, rhythmic verse and paired with vibrant illustrations, the story gently explores perseverance, self-belief, and honoring the people who inspire us.
Written by hip-hop artist and We Golf Now founder Chill Moody, Gia the Golfer emphasizes representation and belonging, encouraging children, especially Black and Brown youth, to see themselves in spaces where they may not always feel included. Designed for families, classrooms, and libraries, this heartwarming story blends sport and storytelling to support social-emotional learning and inspire young readers to try new things and keep going, one swing at a time.
