Hiding with the Faerie Who Stayed
Bleeding through the faerie woods, Sybil searches for shelter in an abandoned cottage. She quickly discovered she isn't alone. Instead, a fae with black-tipped horns is showing too much amusement with a knife at his throat.
For thirteen years, Sybil belonged to the king as his shadow. She was trained to obey without question, endure pain, and to never hesitate. Freedom was supposed to be at the end of her deal.
Wounded, hunted, and running from the kingdom she served, she struggles with where to call home. Some wounds are buried deeper than flesh, ones she's forced to face with the most unlikely companion.
This story is loosely inspired by the Scottish changeling folklore.
