delving is a new project by Nick DiSalvo, best known as the frontman\nof the heavy rock band Elder. Hirschbrunnen, his debut album, draws\nfrom a wide swath of influences and sounds ranging from psychedelic\nand krautrock to early electronic and ambient music, all while showcasing\nthe evocative melodies and songwriting he\x27s become known for.\x27\x27I\x27m an almost obsessive songwriter,\nworking on music every day and\namassing a huge collection of song\nfragments and ideas that often don\x27t\nget the attention I\x27d like because of\nthe time I spend with my main band.\n\x27Thanks\x27 to this pandemic, I\x27ve had\nplenty of time to pick up some of the\nsongs I\x27ve written over the past years\nand finally make an album that I\x27ve\nbeen telling myself forever I\x27d do.\nFrom my earliest moments as a\nmusician, I have been obsessed with\nhome recordings, begging my parents\nfor a Tascam 4\-track cassette\nrecorder for Christmas when I was\n12 and making my own albums. delving\nis a continuation of this creative\nspirit: experimenting all on my own,\nforgetting bands, fans and expectations\nand making whatever music I\nwant to.
