Predators Collide: A Desert Saga Novel (The Desert Saga)

Predators Collide is the second installment in the Desert Saga series, an epic tale set deep in the heart of the American Southwest. It continues the fantastical journey of the Mountain Lion Tocho and the 12-year-old girl Liseli and includes the little creature Jabberrunner, who were separated from the other remaining members of their village and escaped the volcanic destruction to reach the Other Side of the mountain. They are tracked by the Night god, also known as Tezcatlipoca, whose personification manifests as a Jaguar. They encounter an interesting character named Spindle, The Spider, who becomes pivotal in confronting obstacles thrown in their path. The god Quetzalcoatl manifests himself as an Old Man and joins Tocho, the mountain lion, in his clash against his god-brother, the Jaguar.

Liseli’s sister Sakari, her betrothed Calien, and the other villagers must survive in this new world. Disaster arises when a new force arrives from a different world, as a group of Spanish Conquistadors survives a shipwreck and makes their way across unchartered land to collide with those from the old world. Follow the Spanarids’s odyssey as they trek through the untamed world they discover, looking for the City of Gold.

The story is one of two worlds colliding, the new and the old.
