Replayed Calamity to Reclaimed Sense
Grey Kitner started her freshman year of high school just as she was diagnosed with crippling anxiety and depression. She hated her diagnosis and was ashamed of everything that had to do with it. Before it, she had been the “perfect student” and strived to live life as put together as she could. Then, she had to retrain her brain and figure out a new way to live while going through so many struggles. In her novel, Replayed Calamity to Reclaimed Sense, she goes into detail about what she went through and what she learned from it all. She dives into her struggles with her old high school's lack of knowledge about mental health as well as her own battle with it, the sudden passing of a friend, coming out of the closet, and redefining her world.
