THE 2ND TRUMP PASSOVER HAGGADAH: "People All The Time They Tell Me This Haggadah’s Better Than The Last One, It’s For The Jews Who Love What Trump’s ... Say You Don’t, Deep Down, I Know It’s True"
In 2018 Dave Cowen published The Trump Passover Haggadah, a performable Seder script satirizing the President who thinks he’s Moses but is much more of a Pharaoh. The book sold over 10,000 copies and reached the Top 500 on Amazon during its inaugural Pesach season.
He has since published six popular participatory haggadot parodying Seinfeld, Biden-Harris, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Kanye West, Mel Brooks, and The Office. These offerings sold over 20,000 copies and were covered in The New York Times, The Forward, The Jewish Journal.
This eighth book in the series finds us full circle but also perhaps not just on one side. It assigns each part of Seder to a political caricature so guests can remix the ancient rituals into a night of laughter and reflection on power and love, propaganda and dialogue, America and Judaism.
Cowen is on record saying he hoped he’d never have to do another Trump. But like how in 1936 Arthur Szyk felt called to answer rising authoritarianism with subtle freedom-fighting illustrations, Cowen felt called to answer 2026 with maximalist humor and ironic full-color AI memes…
