When fifty-six-year-old sign shop worker Andy Herman wakes up from a bizarrely realistic vision of 1952, he discovers his reality has been completely rewritten. Hidden inside his father's old military footlocker is a mint-condition treasure trove of 1952 Topps baseball cards—including the legendary Mickey Mantle. Turning the impossible find into a multi-million-dollar fortune is the easy part. Living with the secret is another story.

Driven by a deep sense of moral duty, Andy sets out to find Lily Dalton, the closest living relative of a woman he technically robbed during his midnight trip to the past. He intends to hand over an anonymous two-million-dollar check to settle his temporal IOU. He doesn’t expect to fall completely, hopelessly in love with her.
