In this story, Hippo, who is bored on Sandy Bottom Beach, is inspired by her friend Scallop to seek out a mysterious purple mist appearing on the horizon. Despite Hippo's initial reservations about the distance, Scallop devises a plan and constructs a makeshift raft called the "Splinter-Speed 3000." The two friends then set off together across the water, stepping into the role of deep-sea explorers as they head toward the swirling purple mist. What adventures await?
