The Girl Beneath The Fear
There was a time when fear felt like it was everywhere.
It showed up in my thoughts, my body, my decisions, and the way I saw myself. Anxiety convinced me that something was always wrong, that uncertainty was dangerous, and that I would never truly feel safe. For years, I carried those fears while navigating medical challenges, endless questions, and the feeling that I was becoming defined by my struggles.
The Girl Beneath the Fear is a collection of poems about that journey.
These poems explore anxiety, medical trauma, self-doubt, grief, healing, and learning how to find yourself again after years of feeling lost. They were written for the girl I used to be, but also for anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed by fear, misunderstood, or exhausted from carrying too much for too long.
This book isn't about having all the answers. It's about discovering that healing happens little by little, that you are more than the labels placed on you, and that there is still hope even when fear tells you otherwise.
If you've ever wondered whether you'll feel like yourself again, these pages are for you.
