Being asexual in a world where there is an emphasis on sex in relationships has always been difficult for me. This is my story as an asexual woman trying to make it in a world that, more often than not, doesn't understand what that word even means. This story is the 10th in my series A Year in Craft and Chaos where I spent all of 2022 writing in a different genre every single month and this was the most challenging one I'd ever done. I didn't have to fictionalize the world or create character arcs because this was just me and my experiences and that's a terrifying concept to put on paper, especially for someone who prefers to live in fantasy worlds rather than talk about personal strife. So this is my story and I hope it helps to educate those who maybe don't know about asexuality or want to learn more about the asexual experience.
