Simply put, the American healthcare system as we know it is unsalvageable. Despite our best intentions and best efforts, attempts to “fix” the system have not resulted in any significant improvement. We are getting sicker, and it is costing us a fortune. There are systemic flaws that have gradually worsened and festered like a deep dark wound, infecting every aspect of the healthcare delivery system over the past 50 years. Such a system isn’t just unsustainable, it’s unsalvageable - and the sooner we start over, without profit in the driver’s seat, the healthier we’ll be.
