Four priests were imprisoned in a cellar in the woods during bleak midwinter. Two are found dead in their chains and another has vanished completely.

Father Christopher is the presumed sole survivor.

Christopher’s faith has shattered along with his mind. Dark specters haunt him as he grapples with his immeasurable trauma and blurred memories. A warmer climate, a new community, and a fresh persona offer the ex-priest an opportunity to start over and build a faith that succeeds where his former had failed him. This new calling must contend with Christopher’s specters as they goad him and his devout followers towards ruin.

Though Christopher’s story has been written, those drawn to his case are compelled to ask the all-consuming question: What really happened in that cellar?
