100 Promises

If you’re readin’ this, it means somethin’s either gone terribly wrong… or terribly right. It’s her weddin’ day. But she’s not marryin’ me. She’s marryin’ him.

I’m thinkin’ awfully hard ‘bout goin’. Down to the chapel. But I’ve ben thinkin’ awfully hard ‘bout a lotta things. It’s complicated. Course it is. It’s a small town weddin’. And I just happen to have spent the better part of my life in love with the bride.

We had a lotta good times together. A lotta not so good ones too. I think I’d just about do anythin’ for a couple more though. Times. With her.

It was always us. Me and City. ’Til it wasn’t. I promised myself I wouldn’t let her break my heart. Again.

But there’s been a lotta promises made today…

Guess we’ll have to see which ones keep.
