After 45 years of hunting jaguars in Mexico, Central America, and South America, I was able to finish this book.
In 1972, I met Dale Lee, who introduced me to Ollie Barney, Richard Holcom, and Heriberto Parra, from the swamps of Nayarit. They became my mentors, and I learned to hunt from them. In 1991, Richard Holcom and I hunted Dale Lee's last jaguar in the Sierra de Tamaulipas.
