Just The Way It Should Be is about a little girl named Jack telling the world who she authentically is as a young transgender child. Her mom, Iris Lillypad, was inspired to write this story when she noticed a lack of positive, kid-friendly books to help her daughter see herself in literature. Lillypad's goal is to help kids and parents everywhere see that transgender kids can (and do) live joyful, ordinary childhoods with the right loving environment.
