After 9/11, my husband joined the Army Reserves. After I graduated from the University of Kentucky, he wanted to go Active Duty. He was already in Northern Virginia. Our first PCS (move) was to Fairbanks, Alaska. I was learning to navigate the Army, the JAG Corp, and living in Fairbanks. This book takes you on my journey as we drive across the country, take a ferry, and continue driving into Alaska. Read about my experience: Snow in June. Moose in our yard. Daylight almost 24 hours. Darkness in the winter. My first time seeing the northern Lights from my dining room window. Our big trip---bear viewing Kodiak bears. Company visiting the first time...and some a second and third time. This was a magical experience!
