Aaron has been training his entire life to become Saturn’s next Representative. For as long as he can remember, his father’s motto has been “duty over desire”, responsibility for their people taking precedence over anything else. A lover of rules, laws, and order, every moment of Aaron’s life has been planned out.

Mallow Ames, or “Mal”, never thought he would find himself becoming a Representative. The exact opposite of Aaron, Mal values freedom, spontaneity, and unpredictability. But the universe has spoken; a hurricane of impish chaos, he may just be exactly what the people of Venus need.

As fate would have it, the pair find themselves becoming Representatives at the same time. Even better? Aaron’s father has instructed him to take Mal under his wing and show him the ropes of being a Representative. In this cross-planet adventure, beliefs will be tested, mischief will be had, and the boy with caramel eyes will make Aaron question whether duty truly must come before desire.
