The Better Half

The Better Half follows Estella Hawthorne, a reserved and introspective princess, and her twin sister Esme, who is more outwardly confident and emotionally intense. Though they look identical, their personalities and how they are treated by others, especially their parents, create a growing divide between them.

Raised in a royal family where one of them must eventually become queen, they are shaped by constant comparison, pressure, and competition.

As their eighteenth birthday approaches, their parents announce that one of them will be chosen to inherit the throne. This decision places strain on both sisters in different ways. Estella feels unprepared and unsure of herself, while Esme struggles with feelings tied to favoritism and expectations. Their shared past, including childhood conflicts and misunderstandings, continues to affect how they interact in the present.

Estella's journey focuses on her internal struggle-questioning her worth, her identity, and whether she is truly fit to rule. Along the way, she begins to step outside of her usual routine, gaining new perspectives and connections, including meeting Romeo Russo, a prince who introduces the possibility of a different future.
