The Four Foodies

Tim is trying to enjoy a nice meal with his friends at their favorite restaurant when chaos erupts. Smoke fills the building, forcing everyone to evacuate. Soon after, Tim realizes it was no ordinary smoke when Ruby saves Tim from an oncoming car by pushing him out of the way by shooting guacamole from her hands.

One by one, Tim’s friends develop strange food-themed superpowers. Beto can throw tortilla chips like ninja stars. Gretchen, already anxious, is dismayed to learn that her power is “onion sweat,” generating tear gas with physical exertion. Tim hopes that he is next, but nothing happens. The friends decide to call themselves “The Four Foodies,” but Tim isn’t sure he really belongs.

They soon realize that they weren’t the only ones affected by the strange accident. Larry, a plumber who had been fixing a leaky faucet at the restaurant, has gained the ability to manipulate water from any man-made source. Calling himself “The Plumber,” he and his two bumbling accomplices try to rob a bank. The Foodies manage to stop the robbery, but the villains get away.

As the threat grows, Tim is suspicious of Ruby’s grumpy neighbor, Dr. Gruber, a reclusive scientist who had also been at the restaurant. After several tense encounters, the kids discover that Dr. Gruber (and his dog, Biscuit), are allies. Dr. Gruber creates protective costumes for the heroes and helps train them.

While the others grow more capable, Tim struggles with feeling left out. But as the Foodies face danger, Tim proves his worth by forming plans and spotting clues the others miss. When a final showdown results in Ruby, Beto, and Gretchen being caught in a distraction, Tim is left alone to face the Plumber.

Without superpowers, Tim uses his intelligence to outthink the villain. Together, the Four Foodies stop the Plumber once and for all. Along the way, they share laughs and learn to trust each other and gain self-confidence. Tim realizes that heroism isn’t about flashy abilities, but about courage, critical thinking, and friendship.
